Translator's Note: Many photos from this administration published by the Japanese Nikai Shōten company use the obsolete Japanese terms "Kanaka" and "Dojin" (土人）for Carolinian (and not Chamorro) people. "Kanaka", however, is a Hawaiian word for "people/person" most often used contemporarily in reference to the native Hawaiian people, "Kanaka Maoli".
